About the Artist                    The History of the Popsicle

I am very fortunate to be the first person to create popsicle stick furniture using this technique and with that comes the privilege of naming it; I call my art "Riffstick Art Furniture". Many of my pieces are constructed totally out of popsicle sticks and Elmer's glue. My lamps and legged tables have either metal conduit or 1/4" rod for wire concealment or stability respectfully.

All pieces containing color, the sticks are hand stained prior to construction. I pride myself in trying to never cut sticks to conform to shape(s) for the challenge is to erect the piece out of the manufactured sizes and shapes. I do not draw or sketch my ideas, I see them in my mind's eye and it is from that snapshot I begin.
